Band Bio It seemed like a long time coming to Minneapolis. Many good players in town and a great scene for live music. A large amount of musicians in Minneapolis often play with multiple bands and get to work with a wide variety of musicians. Whether it was fate, coincidence, or divine intervention, somehow, the members of GrooveStreet started hearing rumors of each other through their fellow musicians. “It started out as “you’ve got to hear this bass player, man.” and, “dude, this drummer is amazing. You’ve got to hear him play.” says Jimmy Bayard, guitarist for GrooveStreet. Over time, GrooveStreet managed to find some of the most talented musicians in their respective instruments. When looking for a weak link in this lineup, its clear that GrooveStreet truly is  the model of a “musician’s band.” With sounds remnicent of ‘70s post bop and organ trio jazz to the modern polish of R&B and Soul, GrooveStreet is the perfect group for any occassion. But be warned: If you are looking for a group to sit quietly in the shadows while you finish your filet mignon, you may instead get a little hungry.
